Good morning, this is Hazel. I would just like to share with you some ideas I have about how inexpensively we can be healthy.
People think that they have to spend money and go to a gym, or they have to have a trainer. Now I’m not saying you shouldn’t, but I am saying you don’t have to spend money to be healthy. You can do an exercise routine all on your own, without having to go anywhere, without having to spend any money. You can do the same thing with your diet, you don’t have to buy an expensive diet plan or a chap diet plan, whatever. It all comes from your own mind. Make up your mind to lose weight. Make up your mind to exercise. The mind is a powerful thing. I have been amused that all of these people are talking about all kinds of mind things, what our mind can do and everything.
Well, I tell you, it’s been ever since the beginning of time that people have known that our mind is the thing that controls what we do. It’s in the bible. “Whatsoever man thinketh so is he.” That’s in Proverbs. Whatever you want to think about, is what you can bring about. Think about exercise and think about diet and do your own thing. Most people know what they need to do to be healthy. They just either don’t, won’t, or in some cases, they think they can’t. But everyone can improve their own image, their own life, their own finances, their own health if they just think positive about it and do something about it. Our health is our best wealth after all.
It makes no difference how much money you have if you’re not healthy, what good is it? If you’re not healthy, nothing else matters. If you have plenty of money and poor health, it’s not helping you, but if you’re poor and don’t have a lot of money, but you have good health, you can fix that. You can always do something to help that. Our health is very important. The older I get the more I realize it. I am now 88 years old, I take no medication. I haven’t had no surgeries. Hope that I don’t have to have any. And I have decided to eat my vegetables, rather than to become one.
